About us
In 2013, inspired by the Lubavitcher Rebbe's vision to reach every single Jewish person, Rabbi Kuty and Rochel Kalmenson moved their young family to Shanghai and joined Rabbi Shalom and Dina Greenberg, at the Shanghai Jewish Center. The primary focus of their work at the Shanghai Jewish Center was to reach out to the small Jewish communities in the entire region.
In 2016, the need to open a permanent Jewish Center in the city of Ningbo was recognized, to serve the needs of the growing local community, as well as the hundreds of Jewish business people passing through every year. With the help and blessings of Chabad of China, led by Rabbi Mordechai and Goldy Avtzon, the Ningbo Jewish Center was established.
The Ningbo Jewish Center operates in the true Chabad spirit. Every Jew is welcomed with open arms in an open and non-judgmental environment, regardless of his or her level of Jewish affiliation, observance or knowledge.

Your Shabbat "home away from home".
Join us as we celebrate Shabbat together.
Enjoy a delicious homemade Shabbat dinner and lunch, with other Jewish locals and visitors. Sing beautiful Shabbat melodies, share a pertinent Torah thought, or just enjoy the company.
Shabbat dinners are held every Friday night at 7:00 PM.

SHABBAT SERVICES
At this time, unfortunately, we do not have a Minyan for Shabbat services on a weekly basis.
Feel free to join us for Kabbalat Shabbat at 6:30 PM every Friday evening and Shabbat morning for Shacharit at 11:00 AM

kosher food in ningbo
The Ningbo Jewish Center now offers a limited amount of freshly cooked Kosher dishes. Orders are for pickup or delivery, and must be made 24 hours in advance.

There is a small shop with selected Kosher items at our center. In addition, the Metro and Carrefour stores carry many imported Kosher items.
